Casement Windows

WHAT IS A CASEMENT WINDOW?

A casement window is hinged on one side and swings outward to the left or right. It easily opens and closes with a crank that folds away when not in use or an Easy-Slide Operator that uses the same simple motion as dimming the lights with a dimmer switch.

When closed, these types of windows offer excellent energy efficiency. When open, they capture natural breezes that make rooms especially refreshing. When screens are added, they are located on the interior, keeping them from interfering with the operation of the window and protecting them from the elements to help them stay clean longer.

This easy-to-open design makes casement windows ideal for tough-to-reach places, such as over a kitchen sink or bathtub.

If you are looking for a window that offers ventilation, a casement window is a good choice. These windows are commonly used in places where maximum ventilation is desired. They can also be found over an obstruction like a kitchen sink to make opening and closing easier. Crank windows are also frequently used in sitting rooms and sunrooms and can be combined with special shape windows for a dramatic look, inside and out.

These types of windows are superior in efficiency over other venting windows due to multi-chamber frame design and a compression seal. These windows are a beautiful addition to any home that complement both modern and traditional home styles.
