Bay & Bow Windows

WHAT IS A BAY & BOW WINDOW?

Bay or bow windows combine fixed and operable windows, creating a curve that extends beyond the exterior walls. Bay windows are made up of three windows, typically two operable windows at an angle with one fixed window in the middle. They feature more angular lines than a bow window.

Bow windows consist of four or more windows joined to form a smooth curve. Typically, the windows are each the same size and shape.

Beautiful inside and out, these stunning windows add character, make a dramatic statement to the exterior and interior of a home and increase curb appeal. There are plenty of styles, features, benefits and options to choose from.

These windows are often manufactured as single units, however, depending on the required size may be manufactured as multiple components that will be connected together through the installation process.

If you are replacing an existing window, make sure to talk to one of our window consultants at SRS Windows and Doors, they’ll ensure you will get a perfect structurally sound custom fit.

If you’ve always wanted a breakfast nook, reading corner, or more light for your fledging forest this type of window is perfect for you. Available to order in various angles with fixed and/or casement windows. No other window can offer as much character and beauty.

Bay windows are also known as: bow windows, box bay windows, oriel windows
